« A vineyard of 45 ha, a parcel of which was planted in 1912. It was in the old locality of Voulongue Vieille where, in the 13th century, the Lord of Chasteuneuf already owned vines, that the Grenache was harvested to develop this vintage. The jury was won over by the dark robe as well as by the powerful bouquet of blackcurrant, truffle and undergrowth. The supple and round mouth remarkably prolongs this aromatic character. The tannins provide the structure necessary for good aging, without damaging the overall harmony. Two stars also shine for the warm Domaine du Bois de Saint-Jean L’Intrépide 2006 red (3 to 5 €), a blend of grenache, syrah and mourvèdre. "»
